I Can Be Baptized

Kinda just been absolutely crazy this week so I'll try and remember some of our experiences. We were just really busy and had some really cool experiences as we worked. Let's see...

 

 

So Tuesday was cool we worked in the food bank again which is always nice. We had some good lessons with Diana an dher granddaughters. They really had been giving interest into joining the church.

 

 

So Wednesday goes by and we go and see some of the youth at the activity night. Had dinner with Diana and sable and Rudi (grandchildren) and it was super awesome. Sable had some really good questions and a member who is preparing to go on a mission soon was able to help us with those. It was so cool because she was able to relate to sable in a way we couldn't have. So that was like the kick start of everything. She went to the activity and loved it. Then came home and was like I'm gonna ask my mom if I can join the church. So we get this message saying "I can be baptized" I'm like wait.. You can what now?? It kinda caught me off guard cause I thought she was gonna need more time. But she got permission. So she's getting baptized this Saturday AH! It's way exciting. So that's what this week is gonna look like.

 

 

So that happened. We've been teaching her lots this week. Let's see we also have just been recive referals out of the blue. Like wow. It has been cool. So people just are moving to Kemmerer and we are going to be trying to meet with them. We had some new members move into the ward this past week so we went and got to know them.

 

 

We went to Randolph this week and that was cool. We had a great lesson with Elise and guess what.. She's on date for baptism now!! HURAY! so exciting man she's just has really seen the gospel change her life for the better. So cool. Then while we were out there I left my bag at a members house. Yea... Big oops. But the coolest thing was on Saturday we just said let's go out. So we did and we went and visited some people we felt we needed to and BOOM just was exactly where we needed to be. So that was so cool. The Lord works in mysterious ways I definitely learnt that.

 

 

Sunday was cool cause we got to be at the nursing home and be with the elderly. They are so sweet. We gave some of them blessings and that was super powerful. OH and sable who is getting baptized this Saturday got up on her own and bore her testimony in front of everyone. Me and Elder Greenwade were sitting in the back with the biggest smiles on out faces. Like I just wanted to jump for joy. I thought I knew what Joy was. Then this happened. That was true joy that filled my heart. So that was a special experience.

 

 

But overall the work is good and I'm staying another 6 weeks in Kemmerer. That's kinda the transfer news. I'm still district leader as far as I'm aware and I'll still be training. But it'll be exciting I gotta stay here for some reason so it'll be cool to find out what that is. Anyway have a good week!

Scavenger Hunt

This was another great week here in Kemmerer Wyoming! We've been real busy all week. Tina is on date for this Saturday and man we are super excited. We spent some good time teaching and talking with her this week. She's way excited to which is super cool. It'll be a great week getting all that organized and ready. So that'll be keeping us busy this week.     We had a really cool activity on Wednesday with the youth! We all did a big service scavenger hunt around the area. It was lots of fun. We got to know more of the people around and just help people out. We even got to know some of the youth which was great.      We really are trying to work with them and help them prepare for missions! Let's see we also had some really good lessons with Diana. What A Week!

It was Christmas of course and I hope you all had a great Christmas I know j did(: The calls home were good and also all your Christmas greetings were greatly appreciated thank you(:     We had all our appointments fall through on the night of Christmas which I mean hey to be expected I guess. No worries there though we kept on working and are seeing the blessings there from that. We had to push our baptisms from last Saturday to this Saturday since there was lots of stress and such happening in the family. We want their baptism to be a stress free and good experience so we are excited for them this week.     We also picked up a new person who us really progressing. Its actually Yedis friend!! Yedi our recent convert has been telling is good friend about this amazing gospel. We went over to teach her and she is so amazing. Her name is Joslyn and she is so ready. She is very receptive to our lessons and is on date for baptism on the 26th of January!! We are so excited...

Quarantine Life

Hey Everyone hope you're staying safe and healthy! This virus certainly has taken the world by surprise but have no fear The Prophet of God is here!!     I love President Russell M. Nelson he is truly our Prophet here on the earth. This past week we had the amazing opportunity to hear from him and many other of the apostles of the church in General Conference. It was amazing we got to learn alot about the Restoration of the Gospel. Being the bicentennial of Joseph Smiths First Vision and really the Church being restored on the earth!
