Today's Not A Good Day

Another great week here in the mission field. Gotta love serving the Lord.

Let's see this week we had exchanges again. That was good fun. I went over to Pinedale with the other Elder and worked over there for a while. I got to do a baptismal interview for someone they are teaching and that was awesome. It was the first interview I did in person so that was way cool. He just turned 18 so he isn't much older than me. It was nice talking with him. He ran track too so we could relate on that. So that was Tuesday and Wednesday.

We had an awesome day Thursday we had weekly planning which is always long but we made it through. We went over to Randolph and Woodruff and that was way awesome! They had a big rodeo happening which was super cool. Reminded me of the Stampede that comes every year but WAY smaller. They had a steak dinner for the whole town so we got to go and have some good steak dinner which was really nice. Not every day we get to have those. We also had some good lessons with the people over there so that was great. They are really progressing and I'm super excited for them. The Spanish people are way cool. Definitely learning how to communicate with them... Kinda haha.

So that took up a good few days. The fair thingy down there is a real big deal so everyone in like a 50 mile radius is in this one town. Their population like doubles because of it. It was cool. Lots of super nice people though. Everyone there just is super kind. So I guess that's one good thing about small towns. People in the city can be pretty rude. But that makes it fun.

Friday and Saturday were busy we went around and just talked to as many people as we could. Saturday is where the title comes from. We went to go and stop by this one guy we've been trying to get to know and all the sudden the cops pull up... He leaves to talk with them then comes back and was like "today's not a good day" so we got outta there quick. Sounded not good so we hope he's okay. OH and on Friday we were leaving one of the small towns and we had a baptismal record in the car. It was a windy day so all the sudden I watched the papers fly out the door. MAN I peeled down the road faster than you could've said baptism. Next thing I knew the chase was on. I thought that was pretty funny. It was nice to be able to go on a little run haha

Sunday was great. Lots of church. We met with a super old lady we are teaching. We then talked with her son later that day because she wants to get baptized! So we set a date up and we are pumped. She will get baptized in the swimming pool so that'll be unique. She's 90. We all have our time for sure. So that's been way cool. But yea the work has been great and we have been keeping super busy. Which is way cool. Transfers are going to first week of September so that's coming soon. Well that's all. Have a good day!
