New Mission President Interviews

This week was great and we had some pretty cool stuff happen and hopefully some awesome stuff to come. Nothing super out of the ordinary though.

 

 

On Tuesday we got to help out at the food bank which is always fun we really enjoying giving service there! We just help out with stocking and if anyone needs help with taking their stuff out to the truck we are the guys to call.

 

 

Wednesday was pretty cool cause we had our interviews with our new mission President! That was super exciting. We were planning on having them over the phone and then last minute we had them say they were coming out to. Kemmerer for the interview... Yea that also ment they were. Coming into our apartment. So. We. Got. To. Cleaning very quickly... So this place was immaculate that's for sure. It went great though they are just super amazing people. But because our apartment is so small there isn't any private places to have an interview. So it undead up happing in the kitchen which was interesting. To give you a reference our kitchen is not wide at all. I can reach out and touch both walls. Then it's not super long either but it's just this skinny room so we were just face to face. It was great. Never thought to see the day I woing be interviewed in my kitchen but hey there's always a first for things right? Anyway that was great.

 

 

Thursday and Friday were cool because we were out in the smaller towns that we cover teaching people out there. We had an amazing lesson with three Spanish speakers that we are teaching. The lesson went great and we ended up putting them all on date for August 10th! It was great. But because I don't speak any form of Spanish we have begun learning it!! I am learning how to pray and hopefully read scriptures with them cause right now everything is done through a translater.

 

 

So far it's coming along pretty well actually I am some what able to read and understand so that's cool! Sunday was fun we got to go to church of course and we had lots of meetings. I spoke in the nursing home which was fun. There was three nice old ladies in attendance! The people coming to run the service definitely out number them though. But it was good. Other than that we have a big activity today which will be great fun then we start exchanges!!!

Scavenger Hunt

This was another great week here in Kemmerer Wyoming! We've been real busy all week. Tina is on date for this Saturday and man we are super excited. We spent some good time teaching and talking with her this week. She's way excited to which is super cool. It'll be a great week getting all that organized and ready. So that'll be keeping us busy this week.     We had a really cool activity on Wednesday with the youth! We all did a big service scavenger hunt around the area. It was lots of fun. We got to know more of the people around and just help people out. We even got to know some of the youth which was great.      We really are trying to work with them and help them prepare for missions! Let's see we also had some really good lessons with Diana. What A Week!

It was Christmas of course and I hope you all had a great Christmas I know j did(: The calls home were good and also all your Christmas greetings were greatly appreciated thank you(:     We had all our appointments fall through on the night of Christmas which I mean hey to be expected I guess. No worries there though we kept on working and are seeing the blessings there from that. We had to push our baptisms from last Saturday to this Saturday since there was lots of stress and such happening in the family. We want their baptism to be a stress free and good experience so we are excited for them this week.     We also picked up a new person who us really progressing. Its actually Yedis friend!! Yedi our recent convert has been telling is good friend about this amazing gospel. We went over to teach her and she is so amazing. Her name is Joslyn and she is so ready. She is very receptive to our lessons and is on date for baptism on the 26th of January!! We are so excited...

Quarantine Life

Hey Everyone hope you're staying safe and healthy! This virus certainly has taken the world by surprise but have no fear The Prophet of God is here!!     I love President Russell M. Nelson he is truly our Prophet here on the earth. This past week we had the amazing opportunity to hear from him and many other of the apostles of the church in General Conference. It was amazing we got to learn alot about the Restoration of the Gospel. Being the bicentennial of Joseph Smiths First Vision and really the Church being restored on the earth!
