Spanish Adventures
This past week and a half has been a little different with us having our temple trip today! I am so excited to get to go to the temple today and just have our PDay today!! It was only two extra days of work but man does it make a difference! Monday was kinda rough cause we are used to having the day off but we went out and got to work.
This past week we have had lots going on! Especially last weekend man it was just a whirlwind of stuff happening and this week is going to be exactly the same. It's kinda rediclous sometimes how much stuff is going on and what we have to do each week but we get it all done!
So basically from Thursday last week to about Sunday we had every day just absolutely packed full of things to do which was great! It made all those days just blow by which is always great. Thursday consisted of weekly planning and driving out to Randolph/Woodruff area. It was good because we got to have Brynlees baptismal interview done that night! Her baptism is this Saturday and I am super excited. She is super excited and ready for baptism. It has been great to be able to teach her and help her family come back to church. What a cool experience it has been. They're a great family and it will be a great baptism!
Friday we did work over in that area all day and we had meetings all day with out bishops and other various people in the area which was super productive and we are now able to just work the area better which is good. They are both really small towns so working with everyone on the area is SUPER important and it just makes the work alot easier and more enjoyable! We also taught some Spanish gentlemen with a member who knows alot more than we do... My companion knows a decent amount and to say the least I am learning. Haha it's been cool I want to pray in Spanish but that's gonna take alot of work. I'll keep you updated on my Spanish adventures. I also had my first district council as district leader! I basically prepare an hour and a half meeting on things we need to discuss and learn about. It went great and I'm sure I'll have more to do so that'll be cool!
The. Saturday and Sunday we had the amazing opportunity to have Susies baptism! Man that was just great, Susie is super great. Getting to teach her has just been a great experience overall. I've been able to watch the gospel change her life and just really help her grow and get to know God and Jesus Christ even better. She has a while new light in her life and she is just always so happy to see us and talk about the gospel. That has just been so touching and an experience I'll always remember. My companion Elder Gantt baptized her and I had the privilege to confirm her a member of the church and give her the gift of the Holy Ghost. That was a special and it was so cool to see how excited she was to recive the Holy Ghost. I love the Holy Ghost because he is our constant companion and guide. He helps us in times of need and provides comfort when we are dealing with tough trials. It is an amazing gift and I am so greatful for it!
But today will be great and busy! Tomorrow will be fun we have zone conference and we will be saying goodbye to our mission president and saying hello to the new one soon so that's alot of mixed emotions. But it'll be alright.
Have a good week!!
P.s. Sorry I wrote it all out then I didn't send it...
