General Conference

Sorry for the late email, this week we get to go to the temple and so because we get to go we have our PDay on a different so that we can go to the temple and do everything on the same day so today's been a busy day! Even just the week has been pretty busy!

 

 

We had General Conference as you all know this past weekend and that was so amazing!! We got to go to the Sunday Morning session and man it is something else to be there in the conference centre. It is way big and when the prophet walks in its like Woah the spirit is way strong. All the talks that were given were amazing I absolutely loved all of them! On my my favorites was the one given by Elder Dallen H. Oaks titled "Where will this lead" it was super powerful! We often need to ask ourselves when we are faced with a decision "where will this lead?" thinking about the outcome of our decision will help us to know where they will take us and how it will effect our future. Anyway it's a great talk! We had someone lined up to come with us to conference and the morning of they texted us and said that they couldn't make it which was kinda frustrating. We had everything lined up and they were even gonna take us up there to conference so we were without a ride but it worked out and we made it!

This week was filled with lots of teaching and we are seeing lots of progress with the people we are teaching which is amazing! The one family, the Martinez Family, are really doing well and getting close to baptism on the 27th of April!! We are helping them get married and then into the waters of baptism which is so exciting! Other than that everyone else we are teaching is doing pretty great which is always good. We did have to stop teaching Colton who's 9. His mom doesn't want us over anymore which is sad but it happens sometimes unfortunately. We are still gonna try and see him sometimes but we will see.

 

 

We just got out of the temple which was pretty amazing! I love the temple and I am so thankful for the opportunity we as missionaries get to go every 3 months. It even gives a walk through if one of the recently built temples in Rome Italy! Temples are so beautiful and bring such joy and peace in my life.

Scavenger Hunt

This was another great week here in Kemmerer Wyoming! We've been real busy all week. Tina is on date for this Saturday and man we are super excited. We spent some good time teaching and talking with her this week. She's way excited to which is super cool. It'll be a great week getting all that organized and ready. So that'll be keeping us busy this week.     We had a really cool activity on Wednesday with the youth! We all did a big service scavenger hunt around the area. It was lots of fun. We got to know more of the people around and just help people out. We even got to know some of the youth which was great.      We really are trying to work with them and help them prepare for missions! Let's see we also had some really good lessons with Diana. What A Week!

It was Christmas of course and I hope you all had a great Christmas I know j did(: The calls home were good and also all your Christmas greetings were greatly appreciated thank you(:     We had all our appointments fall through on the night of Christmas which I mean hey to be expected I guess. No worries there though we kept on working and are seeing the blessings there from that. We had to push our baptisms from last Saturday to this Saturday since there was lots of stress and such happening in the family. We want their baptism to be a stress free and good experience so we are excited for them this week.     We also picked up a new person who us really progressing. Its actually Yedis friend!! Yedi our recent convert has been telling is good friend about this amazing gospel. We went over to teach her and she is so amazing. Her name is Joslyn and she is so ready. She is very receptive to our lessons and is on date for baptism on the 26th of January!! We are so excited...

Quarantine Life

Hey Everyone hope you're staying safe and healthy! This virus certainly has taken the world by surprise but have no fear The Prophet of God is here!!     I love President Russell M. Nelson he is truly our Prophet here on the earth. This past week we had the amazing opportunity to hear from him and many other of the apostles of the church in General Conference. It was amazing we got to learn alot about the Restoration of the Gospel. Being the bicentennial of Joseph Smiths First Vision and really the Church being restored on the earth!
