Glorious Days!!!
Hello hello fellow friends and family what a week it has been! It absolutely flew by that's for sure!
We were quite busy all week... Or so we thought we were. We had lots of lessons set up each eveing and this week it just seemed like everything ended up falling through or something had to be changed. Like all week. He had what we thought were lots of solid appointments but I guess not it just has been one of those weeks. We kept on working through it though which ended up being good we had good spirits and in the end the Lord truly blessed us for our efforts!
Ultimately through the whole week we were being guided to what ended up being such an amazing Sunday! Definitely one I hope to remember for a long time. So through out the week some of the people we really looked forward to teaching cancelled their appointments with us and we also had someone set up for baptism this Friday but we found out that it wasn't going to work out on that day. So we will be pushing it back but no worries at all. We kept good spirits and we had an amazing day yesterday!
Before I get into the details we did have a super cool lesson with a family in the ward! The ward mission leader said that they could use a visit from us so we went over their not know what they were going through or anything. The message we had then shared was exactly what they needed to hear. After they thanked us for what we shared and how it really touched their lives. It really hit me that the Holy Ghost is so important to have in our lives. He will lead and guide us and tell us what we need to do to maybe even just brighten someone's day. What a blessing!
So it actually all starts Saturday night. We had a lesson with two new people that were interested in meeting with us. They both have come a long was and come from crazy backgrounds but they are wanting to change their lives around. We had what was quite a difficult lesson with them. The one person we met with was not all there if that makes sense(he was under the influence of something) and the other was so involved with the lesson. We had what I think to be every question thrown at us about the prophet of our church and why we need prophets and so on. It was crazy. They also all came from the man under the influence so he probably doesn't remember much. We probably talked about prophets for a good hour and a half. What we ened up needing to do is just be bold. We testified of the book of Mormon and told him that all he needs to do is read it. That if he does he will understand and have answers to his questions. We then invited them to church and left it at that.
The next day the guy who was super involved, his name is David and he came to church!! The member who was there at the lesson helped us out by bringing him to church. The guy under the influence didn't make it but David the other guy said he was nervous at first but when he came in and sat next to us he started feeling more comfortable. He then got even more comfortable and I know he was feeling the amazing spirit that is at church. He then went to the second hour of church and when we asked him how he liked church he told us that it was one of the happiest moments in his life and that this is something that he wants to have in his life. Such an amazing experience!! We also had received this message near the end of the night last night after we had all these amazing contacts with the people we are teaching. I know the Lord led and guided us last night so that we could be in the right place at the right time.
We went and knocked on this one ladies door and she opened up and we were able to set something up with her then on the way up right as we had finished and were about the leave the sister of a little boy we are teaching ran over and invited us over to talk with Colten the little boy we are teaching. It was crazy. We then went over to the family we were going to have baptized this week but are moving it and talked with them about what needs to get done for the baptism. Everything just fell into place and it was a great week!! The Lord truly works in mysterious ways!
Anyways I hope that all made sense it truly was a great week this week and I am excited for the week ahead! We do have transfers coming up on and I will find out on Saturday whether I am staying or leaving my area. I am really hoping I stay here one last transfer but we will see I have been here a while. Hope you all are doing great and had a great week!!
