Big And Amazing News....
I'm staying another transfer with my companion Elder Cornelius! No going anywhere yet that's for sure. Funny enough what this means is I'll have stayed in my area for a quarter or 6 months of my mission after it all. Not to common to happen but I anm truly blessed to be in such a great area with all these amazing people! I love all the members and the opportunity I've had to get to know and work with them! We had a baptisms planned for last Friday but we unfortunately had to push it back to a later date. Tara the mom and Robert the boy want everyone to be involved which is so good and we are happy that they are getting there family involved! We are going to be working with them this week on setting a date for when works best for them.
So for my week! We went and got free pancakes on Tuesday which was way awesome it was free pancake day at IHOP so for lunch we went over and had some pancakes! That was lots of fun.
We had a really great lesson with someone we are teaching! His name is David and he has been really progressing well. I guess you could say he's a golden invesigator haha that's what they call people who are just really prepared to hear the gospel! We taught him about the book of Mormon and about the prophet Joesph Smith and after it all he said to us that he knows its true and shared with us his testimony. It definitely was one of the most powerful things to hear. He being not a member of the church truly has a testimony of firstly the importance of faith in our lives and secondly just on what we have taught him and just in the church in general. I just kinda sat back and said to myself wow. It definitely has been one of the most power moments on my mission and I am so excited for him and for his progress. We are taking him to general conference and I am so excited for him to be abke to hear the prophets!
It was also a crazy week in that we had it be 10 degrees and sunny one day and then litteraly snow covered the next. It was crazy. I went from wearing just my white shirt to then having my big winter coat on and just being freezing cold. Since then it has gotten much warmer but still the weather here is literally no polar I swear.
We also did exchanges this week which were lots of fun. Basically we switch companions for the day and we get to work with and learn from other elders! It was lots of and we got to have some pretty cool experiences! We definitely met some interesting people out on the street and you do run into some different people but hey it keeps things interesting!
Overall it was a great week and we have another busy week ahead of us! Hope you all are doing week and I hope you have a good week!
Elder May
