Very Eventful Week
I am no longer in a trio so that's been changed, I am now with my companion as of Wednesday!! It was nice to be finally back in my area and be able to sleep in my own bed and not on the floor with a futon so that was nice. It was also nice to be able to fully serve in my own area and not have to split the areas and not do work in my own area to be honest aha!
Elder Cornelius is my companion and he is awesome! He's from Washington state and has been out on his mission for a while so he knows what he is doing! I know I got lots to learn from him so I definitely will be paying attention to what he does!
Some cool things that happened this week for sure! As you know the trio was split up but we still had lots of fun, we tried to recreate a photo and I thought I'd show you our efforts it's pretty great! We had a great time as a trio it was definitely lots of fun!
We had a pretty awesome teaching experience using technology!! An elder serving in San Diego who is from here in the Winder stake skyped in to teach in his language to family we are teaching!! It was so cool to connect everyone and just the fact that I know his family quite well is just so amazing to me! It was such a blessing! Another example of being able to use technology was that we weren't able to physically make it to a baptisms of someone my companion was teaching but we were able call in and watch it over our phone!! Isn't that crazy?! Such a blessing!
Valentine's day was kind of a dead day for sure we tried lots of people and all of them where out somewhere so that was kinda rougb but hey that's how it is
A big thing that happened this week was we got the big news about calling home. I don't know if you heard but the new church policy on calling home is every PDay we are able to call our parents and we had been studying together as a companionship and a member sent us a screenshot of the news. We just sat there in awe. We couldn't believe. Then we got excited and maybe screamed a little ahah!! It's exciting I think it's gonna be a good change and allow us to in a way be more efficient and effective in our missionary work! As we use it correctly of course.
We had this crazy awesome blessing happen this week, we got a text from someone in the ward saying they have a fridge full of food that they wanted to give to us and that we were to come over and pick what we needed. We of course weren't sure what that meant so of course we go cause who doesn't want free food and BAANG next thing we know our kitchen is filled with absolutely everything we could ever need or think of needing. It was so crazy they were like could you use this all? We were like uhhh.. Yea! So we took it all and organized our kitchen! I then made use tacos which were delicious!! That was an amazing day we so greatful for the members we get to be with and their willingness to help us out.
Sunday was filled with lots too! Long story short we were blessed to meet three new people to teach! Two of which are married to members and want to learn more about the church. It was kinda out of the blue but was such a blessing! We get to teach one of them this Friday so I am excited for that!
It has been quite the week for sure I hope you all are doing well and keeping warm I hear it's very cold! Have a good week everyone!
