Thomas Baptism

What a busy and wonderful week we have had here in salt lake and I cant wait to share it with you all!!

 

 

First of all we had the Thomas Family baptism on Saturday and it was such a spiritual experience! They were all so happy and just really excited to be baptized. I had the amazing opportunity to baptize the littlest on in the picture Isreal and the mom in the back Ashley. It was such a nice baptism and the spirit was strong. The little one was a little nervous at first but once it was over he was good aha. Baptisms are just such an amazing thing and to be able to do it was such an honor. I've loved getting to know them and see them grow and I cant wait to see what the Lord has in store for them! We then confirmed them on Sunday and that was also a really good experience the spirt was strong and the whole ward could feel it.

 

 

Because of the baptism we had so much to get ready and prepared for them to make sure that they had a good day. We want it to be special so we make sure all is well for their day. They are part Phillipeno so in preparation we made something called Bananna Lumpia Its like a desert roll and it's so good. So I learned how that was made and we made it for the baptism. Lots of people came to support and it was so amazing to see the ward family there and welcoming them with open arms.

 

 

Another great thing this week was we put Jossleyn on date for baptism! She was involved with even getting the Thomas family ready and she came to church for the first time!! She is so prepared and we cant wait till her baptism! She almost missed church yesterday so that was a close call but we made it all work out and she was there aha!

 

 

Since it was New Years we got to go to a members home and spend a few hours to celebrate with them! We got to be with John Bytheway and his family if that name rings any bells aha!! They are such an amazing family and just very welcoming which was super cool! 

 

 

We had to be in and asleep by 10:30 though so we had to celebrate in our dreams aha it was definitely a great and busy week for sure and there are many more busy weeks ahead!

Scavenger Hunt

This was another great week here in Kemmerer Wyoming! We've been real busy all week. Tina is on date for this Saturday and man we are super excited. We spent some good time teaching and talking with her this week. She's way excited to which is super cool. It'll be a great week getting all that organized and ready. So that'll be keeping us busy this week.     We had a really cool activity on Wednesday with the youth! We all did a big service scavenger hunt around the area. It was lots of fun. We got to know more of the people around and just help people out. We even got to know some of the youth which was great.      We really are trying to work with them and help them prepare for missions! Let's see we also had some really good lessons with Diana. What A Week!

It was Christmas of course and I hope you all had a great Christmas I know j did(: The calls home were good and also all your Christmas greetings were greatly appreciated thank you(:     We had all our appointments fall through on the night of Christmas which I mean hey to be expected I guess. No worries there though we kept on working and are seeing the blessings there from that. We had to push our baptisms from last Saturday to this Saturday since there was lots of stress and such happening in the family. We want their baptism to be a stress free and good experience so we are excited for them this week.     We also picked up a new person who us really progressing. Its actually Yedis friend!! Yedi our recent convert has been telling is good friend about this amazing gospel. We went over to teach her and she is so amazing. Her name is Joslyn and she is so ready. She is very receptive to our lessons and is on date for baptism on the 26th of January!! We are so excited...

Quarantine Life

Hey Everyone hope you're staying safe and healthy! This virus certainly has taken the world by surprise but have no fear The Prophet of God is here!!     I love President Russell M. Nelson he is truly our Prophet here on the earth. This past week we had the amazing opportunity to hear from him and many other of the apostles of the church in General Conference. It was amazing we got to learn alot about the Restoration of the Gospel. Being the bicentennial of Joseph Smiths First Vision and really the Church being restored on the earth!
