First Exchanges
I hope you all enjoyed your week. This week literally flew by that's for sure so that was awesome!
So this week we went on exchanges for the first time that means we get to go with another companion for a day and kinda get to have a "break" from our other companion. Aha I'm just kidding exchanges bring someone else to there area and just we see lots of miricles for sure. We had people me and elder Kennedy had been trying to contact for the longest time finally open their doors and it truly was an amazing day!
We taught this one lady we have on date the word of wisdom and she committed to live it. We then felt prompted to go and visit her one night and we found out that she wasn't totally living it. We had just taught it but she really has had a tough time with it so she really wanted us to say a prayer. Even though she may have been intoxicated all her friends even came out and we said a prayer they still wanted to feel the spirit I guess and I think the spirit was really chastising them and so we said a prayer. We have been really praying for her and hoping she is able to come around.
We also went to the temple this week with Josselyn! She is so amazing she brought her daughter and they loved the temple. We talked about eternal families and talked about what we do in the temple. She really likes the temple and said she could really feel the spirit there. She is still on date for the 26th so we are super excited for her. When we left one of the first things she asked was when can we go back aha she really enjoyed it!!
Also another beautiful thing we saw this week was a boy named Cameron we are working with. He has been through so much in this last year it's crazy we have been talking with him and just being his friend and being there for him. He hasn't been to church in a long time before we met him but we started meeting with him and he started to come to church. He then all by himself went to the bishop got interviewed and now just yesterday day me and elder Kennedy were able to participate in ordaining him to the office of a priest. It has been such and amazing experience to see him grow and his mom pulled us aside and was soo grateful for all we've done. We impacted him in a way I would've never thought.
This just truly showed me that I'm here to meet certain people to help them in their lives.
And also that we never truly know the impact that we have on people. We may have done something so small or something we didn't think was a big deal but to someone else it meant the world. So this week I wanna challenge you all to help someone out. Do something for someone even when it might be hard for you. I can promise you that as you do that you will have an impact on someone's life and it will help them out greatly. Love you all and I hope you all have a great week! Sorry this weeks email is a little short just a bit pressed for time.
