Yedi's Baptism

What a busy week this has been but I am so excited to share with you everything that happened! There definitely wasn't a dull moment which was good we are keeping busy!

 

 

We met with the Bytheway family this week... yea John Bytheway is in our stake isn't that crazy?! We went into their home and spoke with them for a while. Such an amazing family they have a son and a daughter on a mission right now and it's so cool. I never thought I'd meet him but here I am in his home talking bout my life. For those who don't know John Bytheway is a really well know speaker in the church. He is so funny and is a good man, if you get the chance look up one of his talks he's a funny guy!

 

 

The members are amazing here they're always looking out for us which is cool a group of us went to chick filla and the guy there bought us all food it was so crazy but so awesome that he did that. We also went to a members home whose German and we had german potato salad..  it was interesting but hey trying new things. He's lived in salt lake for 59 years now so it was so crazy to hear his stories.

 

 

We had a cool experience this week with a member. He has been going through some struggles and he wanted a blessing. He needed to get into a medical clinic and it has been tough to get into. We gave him the blessing and it was super powerful. Later this week he called us and said that there was a opening in the clinic and thanked us for the blessing. He was able to receive help and it was such a great experience to see the power in blessings.

 

 

We put an amazing family on date for baptisms this week as well. They are so cool and willing to learn. We cant wait to see them continue to learn and grow in the gospel. Now for the reason HURRAY is the subject title. YEDI GOT BAPTIZED!! We see so excited for him and the steps that he's taking. It was such a spiritual experience and he was so happy. I can't wait for him to continue to grow in the church.

 

 

We also had stake Conference this week and it was so amazing. We had two general authorities come down since we got a new stake President. President Kearon of the seventy came and Jeffery Wetzel! It was so amazing we met President Kearon and he is super funny guy. He's British so his accent is amazing. The talks he gave were so good. He was just cracking jokes and having a good time. And at the same time he taught us so good lessons. His accent made it even better so that was great. It was so cool to shake his hand and get to know him a little(:

Scavenger Hunt

This was another great week here in Kemmerer Wyoming! We've been real busy all week. Tina is on date for this Saturday and man we are super excited. We spent some good time teaching and talking with her this week. She's way excited to which is super cool. It'll be a great week getting all that organized and ready. So that'll be keeping us busy this week.     We had a really cool activity on Wednesday with the youth! We all did a big service scavenger hunt around the area. It was lots of fun. We got to know more of the people around and just help people out. We even got to know some of the youth which was great.      We really are trying to work with them and help them prepare for missions! Let's see we also had some really good lessons with Diana. What A Week!

It was Christmas of course and I hope you all had a great Christmas I know j did(: The calls home were good and also all your Christmas greetings were greatly appreciated thank you(:     We had all our appointments fall through on the night of Christmas which I mean hey to be expected I guess. No worries there though we kept on working and are seeing the blessings there from that. We had to push our baptisms from last Saturday to this Saturday since there was lots of stress and such happening in the family. We want their baptism to be a stress free and good experience so we are excited for them this week.     We also picked up a new person who us really progressing. Its actually Yedis friend!! Yedi our recent convert has been telling is good friend about this amazing gospel. We went over to teach her and she is so amazing. Her name is Joslyn and she is so ready. She is very receptive to our lessons and is on date for baptism on the 26th of January!! We are so excited...

Quarantine Life

Hey Everyone hope you're staying safe and healthy! This virus certainly has taken the world by surprise but have no fear The Prophet of God is here!!     I love President Russell M. Nelson he is truly our Prophet here on the earth. This past week we had the amazing opportunity to hear from him and many other of the apostles of the church in General Conference. It was amazing we got to learn alot about the Restoration of the Gospel. Being the bicentennial of Joseph Smiths First Vision and really the Church being restored on the earth!
