What A Week!
It was Christmas of course and I hope you all had a great Christmas I know j did(: The calls home were good and also all your Christmas greetings were greatly appreciated thank you(:
We had all our appointments fall through on the night of Christmas which I mean hey to be expected I guess. No worries there though we kept on working and are seeing the blessings there from that. We had to push our baptisms from last Saturday to this Saturday since there was lots of stress and such happening in the family. We want their baptism to be a stress free and good experience so we are excited for them this week.
We also picked up a new person who us really progressing. Its actually Yedis friend!! Yedi our recent convert has been telling is good friend about this amazing gospel. We went over to teach her and she is so amazing. Her name is Joslyn and she is so ready. She is very receptive to our lessons and is on date for baptism on the 26th of January!! We are so excited for her! January is gonna be such a busy month for sure right now we have 5 people being baptized which us crazy amazing!!
We went on a hike to ensign peak today which was amazing! We took lots of pictures, it over looks the whole valley and it is the place were Brigham young mapped out salt lake. Really cool place only thing was it was super cloudy): but still beautiful!
Funny story of the week time! We went over to Coltens house and we were talking with him. He's a 10 year old boy who really wants to be baptized. We were talking in the living room and we hadn't noticed the man sleeping behind us. So as we are talking with Colten about Christmas we all the sudden hear this loud snoring from behind us. This man is just passed out on the couch and colten goes over there and nudges him to wake him up and stop the snoring. He did and the snoring stopped and we continued with the conversation. It was quite the experience it may not be as funny on email but hey you had to be there aha! Happy new year to all of you hope the new year brings lots of joy and happiness!
P.s the last picture is the Portuguese elders and brother fstheringham who is over the missionaries in the high council. He's a great guy and we love the Portuguese elders!
Till next week,
Elder May
