Thanksgiving

What a great week we had lots going on this week!! We definitely were busy! So unfortunately we didn't get to have a baptism yesterday): we weren't able to contact him for the interview and final lesson in time but we finally did get a hold of him and we were able to meet with him yesterday and make sure all was good.

 

 

He still wants to be baptized and has a desire to follow Christ so that's super awesome. We have him on date for this Saturday and cant wait for him. He still came to church yesterday so that was awesome to see.

 

 

Alright so where to begin... this week we were trying to find a new person to teach and one night we felt to go visit this referral. We knocked and they were super friendly. They let us in and we sat down and started talking. It was a girl about late 20s and her mom and the night before her and her mom were talking about God and Christ. They had some questions and were wondering some things and they prayed together asking for answers. Well the next day we came and they said we were an answer to their prayers. We were able to talk about God and Christ for like an hour it was super cool. We set up a time to come back and we are so excited to see if they wanna be taught more it definitely seems like they are interested.

 

 

Then we had Thanksgiving dinner again on Thursday it was super fun but a crazy day the stake did a 5K run in the morning and we went did that and we had invited some investigators to this event but we never saw them so we thought they had left. Then one of our bishops came and send that this families moms fiance had a stroke and was in the hospital. We quickly went over when we could and give him a blessing. The mom wasn't super interested at first just the kids but now after this experience she wants to be more involved and we are so excited for them. I gave him a blessing and it was such a powerful experience really strengthened my testimony. They then all came to church which was super awesome! He's doing better they said so we just are really praying he'll recover quickly. So then this was all between our lunch and dinner appointment that day since it was Thanksgiving so then we ran over to dinner and ate again.

 

 

The rest of the week was busy there was a family reunion of 200 plus people at the stake centre so that was insane. The gym was packed and we got lots of food out of it so that was nice. They were al super friendly people so that was super awesome.

 

 

Anyway crazy week I have new missionary training tomorrow so that's gonna be a crazy day! Till next week!

This was another great week here in Kemmerer Wyoming! We've been real busy all week. Tina is on date for this Saturday and man we are super excited. We spent some good time teaching and talking with her this week. She's way excited to which is super cool. It'll be a great week getting all that organized and ready. So that'll be keeping us busy this week.     We had a really cool activity on Wednesday with the youth! We all did a big service scavenger hunt around the area. It was lots of fun. We got to know more of the people around and just help people out. We even got to know some of the youth which was great.      We really are trying to work with them and help them prepare for missions! Let's see we also had some really good lessons with Diana. What A Week!

It was Christmas of course and I hope you all had a great Christmas I know j did(: The calls home were good and also all your Christmas greetings were greatly appreciated thank you(:     We had all our appointments fall through on the night of Christmas which I mean hey to be expected I guess. No worries there though we kept on working and are seeing the blessings there from that. We had to push our baptisms from last Saturday to this Saturday since there was lots of stress and such happening in the family. We want their baptism to be a stress free and good experience so we are excited for them this week.     We also picked up a new person who us really progressing. Its actually Yedis friend!! Yedi our recent convert has been telling is good friend about this amazing gospel. We went over to teach her and she is so amazing. Her name is Joslyn and she is so ready. She is very receptive to our lessons and is on date for baptism on the 26th of January!! We are so excited...

Quarantine Life

Hey Everyone hope you're staying safe and healthy! This virus certainly has taken the world by surprise but have no fear The Prophet of God is here!!     I love President Russell M. Nelson he is truly our Prophet here on the earth. This past week we had the amazing opportunity to hear from him and many other of the apostles of the church in General Conference. It was amazing we got to learn alot about the Restoration of the Gospel. Being the bicentennial of Joseph Smiths First Vision and really the Church being restored on the earth!
