First Week In The Mission Field

Hello everybody!! Man has this week gone by fast we have been going to work each day till we got to go home. It definitely has gone by fast but it's been an amazing experience so far. I'm in a biking area so one of the first things we did was go get a bike and the biking has been crazy especially in a suit. But other than that my trainer has been training me well we've been doing lots with the members which has been awesome. We also have someone on date for baptism on November 25th and are super excited for him. He is from the Congo and is super strong and has been coming to church for seven Sundays which is crazy awesome. We are trying to meet with him one last time to set up the interview for his baptism so he can be all set for Sunday. We can't wait to meet him and see his spiritual growth continue as he is so close to being baptized. We've already had some crazy experiences. One night as we were heading over to contact a referral it was in this apartment area within our area and there was a man sitting on the bench doing something with his backpack. My companion wanted to go speak with him and make a contact and as I was trying to put something in my pocket I couldn't find it. No matter how hard I tried I was trying to get it in but I couldn't. As this stalled me and my companion we saw the man begin to leave. My companion try saying something but he couldn't for some reason. The spirit was very much warning us of what was in front of us. My companion got a glimpse of what was his face and he said he couldn't forget the face and how scary it was. We don't know what he was doing but the spirit was telling us to stay away from him which was a crazy experience already. The rest of the night was kind of off but we definitely learned of the importance of the spirit. So lesson learned dont talk to suspicious people. But happy that nothing happened so that's good. We also have someone on date for baptism on Sunday so we are so excited for that he is from the Congo so thats super amazing he's been to church lots. Love you all till next week.
